Shooting Investigation BERGENFIELD POLICE Press Release Nov 6, 2022 

On Sunday, November 6th, 2022 at approximately 2:50 am, officers were dispatched to a report of a possible shooting in the area of 41 Howard Drive within the Borough. Upon the officer’s arrival, witnesses reported that they observed, what was described as a Silver or Grey sedan, traveling on Howard Drive when an unknown occupant (no further description) of the vehicle proceeded to brandish a firearm from the window, firing several rounds into the air. The vehicle then fled the area.  Detectives and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigations responded to investigate. (5) 9mm shell casings were recovered at the scene and based on the preliminary investigation, it does not appear that anyone was struck by the gunfire. There also was no indication that any buildings or vehicles were struck.  This matter is currently under investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Bergenfield Police Department Detective Bureau at 201-387-4000 x4011.   Information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 844-466-6789 (follow prompts for Bergenfield) OR submit your tip online at   **TIPSTERS REMAIN ANONYMOUS & CONFIDENTIAL. IF YOUR TIP LEADS TO THE SOLVING OF THIS CRIME, YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR A CASH REWARD**                                                                  writer.editor.GO_TO_TOP writer.editor.GO_TO_BOTTOM
