On January 22nd, 2019, at approximately 8:00 PM, the Stop & Go Deli & Grocery store, located at 276 Lafayette Place, was robbed at gunpoint by a masked suspect. Two clerks were in the store at the time and were unharmed. As depicted in the below two videos of the incident, one of the clerks attempted to grab the weapon. The suspect ran from the store, without firing, with a handful of cash that he grabbed from the cash register. The suspect ran west on Rosemont Place and into a dark-colored vehicle that eventually traveled towards the Teaneck borderline. Detectives are attempting to retrieve additional video from the area. The investigation into this robbery is very active and we urge anyone who may be put in a similar situation NOT to fight with an am1ed suspect.
