Crime Stoppers to Participate at Hackensack Halloween Highway

Harry Comp, president of the Crime Stoppers for Bergenfield-Englewood-Teaneck-Hackensack, has announced that Crime Stoppers members will be manning the booth at the Hackensack Halloween Highway event located on Clinton Place, Hackensack, on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, from 4 pm until 8 pm. Crime Stoppers will be present to promote their mission of encouraging the public to report suspicious activity in their neighborhoods to their local police and to be a part of the community partnership between the police, media, and citizens, to keep their communities safe.

Members will be providing glowlights to the trick or treaters and others that will gather on Clinton Place to enjoy the annual display of Halloween decorations that adorn the homes of the residents of Clinton Place each year. These glowlights will provide an extra layer of security for the costumed children and adults, as well as the many pedestrians that will roam the dimly lit street on the "eve of all hallows."

This is a fundraiser for the Crime Stoppers organization and we hope you can attend to see the displays and graciously donate to help our mission continue. So please stop by our booth and meet the members and we thank you in advance for your donation for a glowlight.

Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards and guarantees anonymity to citizens who furnish information leading to the arrest of offenders. Crime Stoppers is made up of civilian volunteers from Teaneck, Hackensack, Englewood, and Bergenfield. A police detective from each of the respective communities presents the crime stoppers board with information obtained from citizens that resulted in the arrest of an offender. The board provides the award.
