Our commitment

Bergen County Crime Stoppers is committed to providing a website that is usable by people with diverse abilities, technologies, and methods of access.

Accessibility goal

Our goal is to improve conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2 Level AA where reasonably practicable and to address barriers identified through testing and user feedback.

Measures we take

We review keyboard access, text alternatives, color contrast, responsive layouts, form labels, links, headings, and compatibility with common assistive technologies.

Accessibility is considered during website maintenance, content updates, and third-party integration reviews.

Known limitations

Some older documents, third-party content, maps, payment tools, videos, or external services may not fully meet our accessibility goal. We work to provide an accessible alternative when a barrier is reported and an alternative is reasonably available.
