WANTED: MURDER and POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR UNLAWFUL PURPOSE
The Bergenfield Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating JOSE D. PEREZ VASQUEZ, age 50, of 14 North Front Street, Apartment 1, Bergenfield, single, and employed as a landscaper. Vasquez has been charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. The charges are the result of an investigation that began on Monday, May 6, 2019.
On the above date, the Bergenfield Police responded to Portland Avenue and found a male victim suffering from an apparent stab wound to the torso. The victim, later identified as 43-year-old Uvaldo de Gabriel Aguilar of Bergenfield, was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 3:05 AM.
As a result of the investigation, Jose D. Perez Vasquez was charged with one count of Murder, N.J.S.A. 2C:11-3a (1), a 1st degree crime, and one count of Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4d, a 2nd degree crime. A warrant has been issued for his arrest, however his whereabouts are unknown at this time.
