ENGLEWOOD PD – INFORMATION NEEDED – SHOOTING INCIDENT

On Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at approximately 8:45 PM, the Englewood Communications Center received a call reporting a fight in progress and hearing two gunshots in the area of Knickerbocker Road and Demarest Avenue. Upon arrival patrol units did not locate anyone in the area nor any evidence of a disturbance. 

At approximately 9:00 PM the Englewood Communications Center received a call from Englewood Hospital reporting that a 19-year-old male walked into the Emergency Room with a gunshot wound. The victim was subsequently transferred to Hackensack Medical Center where he underwent surgery.  

The matter is under investigation by the Englewood Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit.
